Artist's Description
The word Pantocrator is of Greek origin and means "ruler of all." In Pantocrator style icons, Christ holds the book of the Gospel in His left hand and blesses with His right hand. The icon thus portrays Christ simultaneously as the Righteous Judge and the Lover of Mankind; the Gospel is the book by which we are judged, and the blessing proclaims God's loving kindness toward us, showing us that He is giving us His forgiveness.

About Dragica Micki Fortuna
"Art and music are to my soul, as food and water are to my body." Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She attended the University of Ljubljana, postgraduate studies from chemical science and graduated from economics. After retirement, attended lectures at the Academy of fine arts and design in Ljubljana, and attended the advanced courses in drawing and painting.
