Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. Greek artists were painting with encaustic as long ago as the 5th century BCE. This technique was notably used in the Fayum mummy portraits from Egypt around 100-300 AD.Encaustic can be laid on in delicately thin glazes or super thick encrusted impastos.

She attended the University of Ljubljana, postgraduate studies from chemical science and graduated from economics. After retirement, attended lectures at the Academy of fine arts and design in Ljubljana, and attended the advanced courses in drawing and painting. In the paintings reflects an optimist by nature and leon by horoscope. She practices drawing by pastel, painting by acryl and mixed technique, she occupy oneself with photography and encaustic paintings. She is currently devoted to her passion for digital art.
